Is it safe to disable com.google.android.katniss?

Disabling com.google.android.katniss has trade-offs.

The source notes indicate feature trade-offs, or the impact is insufficiently documented. Read the source notes and device context before deciding; keep it enabled if the impact is unclear.

Typical effect: Disabling Assistant can stop the remote’s microphone button and voice search from working.

Keep enabled if you use Assistant or voice search.

From the source list: “Assistant and voice search, ~101 MB across two processes. Kills the remote's mic button, "Hey Google", on-screen voice search and the mic icon inside YouTube and Play Store search. Settings and tvsystemui guard their calls into it, so nothing crashes”
